Mit einer riesigen Menschenmenge am Wochenende zum amerikanischen Unabhängigkeitstag feierten Justin Barcia und das Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing Team ihr erstes 450MX-Podium der Saison mit dem dritten Gesamtrang beim einzigen RedBud National. Für Barcia war das Stoke-Level während der Moto 2 auf einem Allzeithoch, als er einen ernsthaften Holeshot erzielte und mit seinem MC 450F das beste Ergebnis der Saison als Dritter erzielte und sein 8-3-Ergebniss mit einem Gesamtpodium in Runde 5 abrundete.
